Complimentary “Green-Out” t-shirts for all 4H participants if tickets are purchased before August 13th. Also, the first 8,500 will receive a Rangers t-shirt as well.

If you are interested in ordering tickets, please contact the Extension Office prior to Friday, August 6th. For every advance ticket purchased, the Texas Rangers will make a $3 donation to the Texas 4-H Youth Programs & Education Fund.

Intermediate Meats Judging Team

There will be no practice today, Monday, January 18th for the intermediate team. We will resume practice next Monday.

Poultry Care Opportunity

We have been given the opportunity for a 4-H member to care for some laying chickens of a local Fredericksburg couple. They travel out of town about every three months and are looking for a 4-H member to feed, water and pick eggs while they are out of town.

Livestock Judging Teams

The Junior Livestock Judging team will not be meeting until after the stock show season. Calls will be made as to what date the practices will begin.

The Senior Livestock Judging team will continue to meet every Thursday at 4:00pm until further notice.

Meats Judging Practice

Meats Judging practice will not take place today. Plan on practicing next Monday, January 18, 2010.

GCYLS Concession Stand Schedule

Just a reminder that the Gillespie County 4-H Clubs have concession stand duties this year at the Gillespie County Youth Livestock Show. There need to be at least 4 adults and 2 4-H members to run the concession stand properly. ANY ONE handling food will need to have their hair pulled back or have on a cap of some sorts. The schedule follows:
